Reflect: This experience requires you to do a little'targeted networking.' How will this experience shape how you participate in any future networking events? Did this experience differ from your networking in the past? How?
- One thing is learned from this that sometimes it is important to speak to people that are more than just the ones in suits with the money, because sometimes others have a different experience set level that can help when it comes to your own experiences. I also need to be more willing to go out there and ask questions because my time is just as valuable as others.

Comments

  1. Hi Stephany, time is definitely valuable and being in the business field, one must know how to manage their time wisely and use it to their advantage. I actually did not think about how speaking to people can help you build knowledge on experience. But since you mentioned it in your post, I can definitely see how hearing their experience can help you learn and develop better when you have to implement an idea.

  2. Hi Stephany,
I personally found this assignment difficult because I am not that outgoing so it is hard for me to go out ant network with people who I have had no previous encounter with. I also agree with your statement that it is important to talk to people who are not just the suits and higher ups in a company. They are important, but when networking, you need your network to be diverse in many ways so you can benefit the most from it.

  3. Hi Stephany,
I found this assignment very difficult to do because I didn't have an extensive network, and I didn't know where to look. I think you did a very good job at your post because you were able to find people that would fit all you the criteria. I also agree with you that talking to everyone and not just managers are super important because they may have a different perspective on the topic than those of the higher ups. Overall, I thought it was impressive that you were able to find all of these people and was able to build your network.

  4. Stephany,

I think the people you talked to were great representatives of each category we were looking for in this assignment! It seems like you covered important bases regarding people who could help you really narrow down how to help patients, which I assume is the most important part of the business for you.
